About me…
Hello there! Thanks for stopping by. My name is Samantha Almaguer, and I’m the teacher author & creator behind Making Lemonade in the Classroom. I began my teaching career in 2001, and I still love being in the classroom with my students. I’ve spent most of my career teaching primary grades, and have spent the last 13 years in second grade. My husband Matt and I have been married for 21 years, and we have four children altogether. Our oldest (my stepson) is all grown up and on his own, and we have three at home including a son at Cal Poly SLO, a daughter in high school, and our youngest daughter in junior high. When I’m not busy teaching or creating resources, I love spending time with my family, cooking, hiking, walking, and exploring the beautiful California Central Coast. I’m happiest when I’m watching our kids play sports (baseball, softball, and volleyball), or watching Netflix at home with my snuggly pup Holly on my lap!
